Im all about whatever u got on changing energy patterns. I mean, Ive grown a lot over the last few yrs but the past still haunts me. The Nature of Thought: Signal Selection, Not Invention in the forum Core Principles of Netism 2 weeks, 3 days agoThoughts are not inventions sprung from a vacuum; they are selections. The mental plane is a living field of patterns continually moving around and through us. What we call “my thought” is the moment a particular pattern matches our present resonance and is taken up, energized, and expressed. In this view, mind is not a factory but a tuner. The…[Read more]

On Sanity in the forum The Young Man and the Sage Discussion 2 weeks, 3 days agoHi Maya, we address this. The ideal model involves a classification system where a patient can distinguish from subconscious fears (i.e., phenomena is leak from the mental plane), or random or unknown figures (bleed through from parallel worlds or other planes). The main ideas are to classify what they are so they can be addressed and to validate…[Read more]

On Sanity in the forum The Young Man and the Sage Discussion 2 weeks, 4 days agoAs a mental health professional, I think this is a really interesting approach. We have to have a lot of caution in what we confirm as real, though. Some patients suffer from very frightening visions. I would hate to tell someone that those were real. Instead setting up a way to distinguish between visions and label them might help dismiss some…[Read more]

The Limits of Perfection: Choosing Harmony Over Utopia in the forum The Young Man and the Sage Discussion 2 weeks, 4 days agoThis concept is really big in Taoism too. I think people could really benefit if they took this concept to heart. We can’t have it all and have no bad consequences. Everything has a price and you have to be willing to pay it. Nowadays, people want things immediately and dont think about the work involved. Wanna be a youtube star? Well you gotta…[Read more]

On Sanity in the forum The Young Man and the Sage Discussion 2 weeks, 4 days agoFirst of all, really great novel! Second, this is a really interesting subject. For a very long time people did treat the mentally ill as if they had a spiritual sickness. They didn’t really help them though, except by trying to do exorcisms. This puts a whole new spin on it. Maybe they are seeing spiritual realms, or parallel worlds, it’s all…[Read more]

On Sanity in the forum The Young Man and the Sage Discussion 2 weeks, 4 days agoSanity, according to the Sage, is a moving coordinate that depends on viewpoint, context, and integration. We often label “insane” what departs from the majority’s perception. Yet the book reminds us that genuine awakening also produces a radical shift in perception: what once felt normal can later look reckless, self-blinding, even “craz…[Read more]

Wu Wei: Heka in Another Language in the forum Core Principles of Netism 3 weeks agoLearned about it from kung fu movies but got more serious about it later when I looked into Chinese philosophy. Now when I say, “that’s not the way,” I’m actually being serious but people still think I’m being cheesy.

Mind Wandering: Where Do We Go? And What Does It Mean? in the forum Core Principles of Netism 3 weeks agoStudies show that the mind can operate two or three systems at once but it becomes poorer at each one. That means we aren’t thinking or driving effectively. Not saying I’m perfect, but it’s something to think about while driving.

Stephan A. Schwartz’s 2060 in the forum Ancient Cataclysms & Human Cycles 3 weeks agoI really like the way this guy collects his data. I really dislike what it’s saying I’m going to have to live through but I will say that if the results provide a more conscious society that has respect for each other and the Earth.
