I compiled some information recently, and what I found that was interesting is that accounts of a great flood are nearly universal. We’ve been through tumultuous times before. Did you know that there are essentially no culture that claims to have developed such basic societal systems, like agriculture? When a culture has a myth about how it acquired such knowledge, it is always given to them by a being that is different from them. You can see this demonstrated in the carvings of beings with handbags.

While that may give some people discomfort, knowing that these things are possible, I find comfort in knowing that when it happens again, society will be seeded with the necessary knowledge to begin again. We’re not alone; someone is looking out for us. We’re just too blind to look out for ourselves.
