Crossroads: Symbols of Choice, Liminality, and Nexus Points in the forum Ancient and Sacred Symbolism 1 week, 5 days ago
Crossroads sit where paths intersect. Across cultures they mark liminal ground: in Greek tradition Hermes and Hecate guard the three-way and four-way split; in West African and Afro-Caribbean lineages (Èṣù/Legba, Papa Legba) the crossroads belongs to the opener of the way; European folk magic treats it as a place to leave offerings; American blu…[Read more]

Adinkra Symbols: Ancient Flows of Spirit Across Civilizations in the forum Ancient and Sacred Symbolism 2 months ago
Adinkra symbols, in their known form, were developed in West Africa, yet their roots reach far deeper than the cultures that now carry them. They are reflective of a symbol-stream that predates recorded history. The primary Adinkra, Gye Nyame (“One God”), is a mystery whose origins are so ancient that its first known mention, at the dawn of our…[Read more]

The Alchemical Symbol of Copper: Conduction Through Balance in the forum Ancient and Sacred Symbolism 2 months, 2 weeks ago
I’ve always felt something warm in copper… like it remembers touch. The way it holds heat, the way it softens with time… it’s special. Seeing its symbol broken down like this makes sense. It’s a map for conduction and a crossroads where all ends must conjoin in balance…

The Alchemical Symbol of Tin: The Gateway of Generosity and Expansion in the forum Ancient and Sacred Symbolism 2 months, 2 weeks ago
I am loving the alchemy here! It reminds me of the vesica piscis but not, too, because it’s only half circles and they’re not intersecting. I feel like there’s a message in the geometry of this design. Lining it up with the breath center makes total sense. It’s there, but open on both sides. The higher and lower come together, but don’t combine.

i love how u covered this. for me, walking between the worlds means i listen more than i speak. i pay attention to the energy around me and go with tha flow. i try to act from the higher place but keep my feet in the dirt. i help when i’m called, but i don’t cling. like the symbol says… don’t grip too tight.

The Alchemical Symbol of Tin: The Gateway of Generosity and Expansion in the forum Ancient and Sacred Symbolism 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Tin, ruled by Jupiter, symbolizes expansion, generosity, wisdom, and moral clarity. It represents the spiritual leader—benevolent, just, and guided by principle. In classical alchemy, Tin marks a stage of transformation where raw power is refined into higher purpose, and ego is reoriented toward service.
While the traditional symbol for Tin is ♃…[Read more]

I know it’s good to use copper gardening tools, but idk the whole science behind it. It was big in ancient astrology. Maybe when we use it in the dirt its conducting some energy. I mean copper might do it in a way thats balanced with the earths energy.

The Alchemical Symbol of Bismuth: Spiral Return & New Beginnings in the forum Ancient and Sacred Symbolism 2 months, 3 weeks ago
In alchemical symbology, Bismuth is represented by a circle crowned with a crescent—the same symbol traditionally associated with Taurus. This shape holds a deeply sacred meaning: the circle represents the cycle completed, and the crescent above signals the emergence of something new: rebirth from understanding and wisdom rising from w…[Read more]
