Has anyone else looked into Bibhu Dev Misra’s research on the Yuga Cycle? He posits that the Kali Yuga actually ends in 2025, not hundreds of thousands of years from now. If he’s right, we are currently living through the “Great Reset” of a 3,000-year cycle that began in 976 BCE.
The theory hinges on a massive “computational error” by later Sanskrit commentators who inflated the original 12,000-year cycle into 4,320,000 years by introducing a “divine year” multiplier of 360. Misra points back to the Mahabharata and the Sapta-Rishi (Seven Sages) calendar to show that the ages are actually much shorter and track with the Precession of the Equinoxes.
The most fascinating part is the math. The traditional 432,000-year figure and Misra’s 3,000-year cycle are linked by the number 144 (432,000 / 3,000 = 144). In sacred geometry and harmonics, 144 is a “fundamental constant” or fractal bridge. It allows a massive cosmic cycle to be reflected perfectly in a smaller, human-scale timeline. This 144-ratio suggests we are experiencing a “harmonic reboot” where the old system clock hits zero and rolls over.
According to this model, 2025 starts a 300-year transition: the “Twilight of Kali” (collapse of old structures) followed by the “Dawn of Dwapara” (the rise of a more spiritually and technologically advanced age). We aren’t at the beginning of the end; we’re at the end of the beginning.
