What we often call the Book of the Dead is a mistranslation. Its true name is the Book of Coming Forth by Light. It was a guide for conscious emergence: the soul navigating dimensional layers, encountering guardians, aligning with Ma’at, and ultimately returning to its luminous origin.
From a Netist perspective, it reads like a coded sequence of energy transitions. Each passage could represent a stage of frequency tuning, astral passage, or multiversal reintegration.

Do you see the Book of Coming Forth by Light as a true guide for dimensional travel, and if so, what does it reveal to you?

to me it’s not mythology. it’s a code. it’s teaching us how to hold light when everything goes dark. how to navigate the net. like… every challenge in that book is a test of coherence. can your vibration stay true while you pass through fear, illusion, chaos? if so, that’s ascension. rebirth. remembering who you really are.

To me, it feels like it’s describing what the soul does after it leaves the body, how it finds its way. Not just out there, but even here. I’ve had moments in meditation where I feel like I’m passing through layers, or seeing with some part of myself that’s not my eyes. It’s subtle but real.

If we really are more than just these bodies, then it would make sense that there are maps to help us move between layers of existence. Maybe this book is one of those maps. I’m still learning, but it’s something I want to sit with more. I feel like our ancestors were speaking from a kind of wisdom we’re only just beginning to remember.
