In the ancient Egyptian journey through the Duat, Apep (or Apophis) is the monster encountered in hour 9. Every night, the solar barque of Ra binds and subdues Apep, but it always returns the following night.

Apep isn’t a literal monster, it’s the embodiment of chaos, distortion, and energetic disruption. Each night, Ra’s solar barque faced this force, and each night it had to be overcome for the sun—and the soul—to rise again.

In Netist terms, Apep represents whatever coils around your field and attempts to pull you out of resonance: fear, sabotage, anger, grief, doubt. Sometimes it appears as an external challenge, sometimes as an inner pattern. But every encounter with Apep is an opportunity for transmutation

What is Apep in your life and how have you faced, transformed, or disarmed this force along your path?
