I’ll be honest, I’m fairly unfamiliar with the Buga Sphere, but what I do remember is there being quite a bit of controversy around it. I had hoped that, given time, some more information would be discovered. I’m reading a blog on the subject right now, and something that stands out to me in particular is that the tests and such we did on the object seemed pretty left-brained to me.
I understand the precedent for doing things like taking samples and measuring an object’s composition. But, while reading this blog post, I wondered if maybe we could take a different approach and see if something a little more evolved would elicit a response. Particularly, what if a skilled meditator were placed in proximity of it and concentrated on the object?
I tried to find information on this and failed, so any insight would be interesting to hear.

There is a theory that this is very old tech, recently unearthed, but human. This is because of the marking on it which look like a very archaic form of Sanskrit. It also reacts to mantras. I am leaning more towards this interpretation. As for what it was originally used for, your guess is as good as mine. My first guess, “alien dodgeball” is probably not correct.

Part of me wonders if the riddle runs much deeper than we realize. There is so much in our history that suggests that our initial assumptions are usually way off from the truths we uncover later in time. I would be interested in knowing who is in the current possession of the sphere and what they plan to do with it. It seems to me there was a lot of hype about it for a few months, and now nothing new has surfaced.
I suppose that if something useful was discovered about it, it would be hidden from us until it can be used up by those who have the object.
