As always, Netism is doing a lot of work behind the scenes…
We recently posted a calendar system on Netism’s website:
      https://netism.org/netism-calendar/

There is a lot to break down here. It has 12 months with 30 days each, with 5 additional days sitting outside the calendar year.
It is somewhat similar to the ancient Egyptian calendar system… there are 3 seasons: Inundation, Emergence, and Harvest.
What makes this calendar unique is where it puts the new year.
      It’s at the Spring Equinox.

Think of the Spring as the tip of an oroburus tail where life is just beginning to emerge. Each year markes one cycle around the oroborus. Growth is followed by decay, with winter being the time where the tail is being consumed, symbolizing active decay underground that feeds the soil for the next harvest. Each year begins when light and dark are perfectly balanced, with light preparing to take dominance, pushing growth forward.

If you are unfamiliar with the Yuga or generational cycles you can ignore them for now. There will be more information on them later when the writing is complete.

Stay tuned and keep checking in for updates, we are working hard to get more content out to the public.

Share thoughts and questions about the calendar here.

Pretty rad concepts here. New year in spring is new for me but it makes sense.

Now when I forget birthdays I can say I thought they were going by the Netist calendar. Jokes aside, this is pretty cool.
