Every region has its champions, plants so sturdy and forgiving that even total beginners can succeed with them. Sharing these dependable allies can help others in the community start their gardens with confidence. In Netism, growing even a single plant is an act of connection with the field and the Earth spirit.

Let’s build a practical list rooted in experience.

What plants have you grown that are almost impossible to fail with? Be sure to include your region, climate, and why those plants do well there.

I’m in Northern California and chard has been my go-to leafy green for years. It grows fast, tolerates the heat, and bounces back even if I forget to water for a day or two. And it’s so vibrant, the stems look like little energy beams in the soil.
