In Netism, Venus is associated with the Root Center. This center hosts our spiritual seed, our core essence that we carry between lives. When nurtured, our sense of belonging and purpose can grow into the following centers and eventually rise to full fruition.

These herbs are grounding and promote energetic coherence.

      Cedar
      – Grounding, protective, and purifying
      – Used in Indigenous North American sweat lodges and North African healing rites
      – Calms the nervous system, reduces stress, and creates spiritual safety
      – Venus in scent and elemental signature, magnetizing inward awareness

      Myrrh
      – Resin used in Egyptian, Nubian, and Ethiopian temple rites
      – Bridges the world of the living and the ancestral
      – Used to anoint bodies, calm emotions, and invoke sacred stillness
      – Venusian quality in its stabilizing, sensual bitterness

      Vetiver Root
      – Known as khus in Indian tradition
      – Burned in temples, woven into cooling mats, and used in Ayurvedic medicine
      – Deeply grounding and emotionally stabilizing
      – Roots reach downward, mirroring Venus’s anchoring magnetism

      Damiana
      – Used in Mexican and Central American healing for love, vitality, and grounding
      – Aphrodisiac and mood enhancer that gently draws awareness into the body
      – Supports emotional regulation and grounded sensuality
      – Venusian in its magnetic, pleasure-centered nature

      Rose
      – Sacred flower of Venus across many traditions
      – Used in oils, waters, teas, and offerings to open the heart and stabilize the lower centers through pleasure
      – Harmonizes the nervous system while magnetizing beauty and inner grace
      – Grounding when used with root herbs; balances the Venus archetype

      Hibiscus
      – Known for its vibrant color and use in cooling, clarifying teas
      – Used across Africa and Asia in feminine-centered rituals and offerings
      – Venusian in its association with beauty, fertility, and sensual clarity
      – Helps anchor fluid emotional states into embodied awareness

These herbs speak to Venus’s fiery, grounding, and creative force. While often associated with pleasure or beauty, Venus in the Root Center stabilizes us in our spiritual origin.
