There are times when we slip out of our center, whether from stress, disconnection, shame, or simply the noise of the world. For many LGBTQ+ individuals, reclaiming joy, power, and authenticity is not a one-time act, but a rhythm, a return, a remembering.

In Netism, we speak of coherence: coming back into alignment with your center. This can happen through breath, movement, ritual, music, solitude, laughter, or even rage transformed.

What practices help you come back into alignment when you feel off-center?

yeah that hits. for me it’s music, 100%. like, blast it loud and let my body move however it wants. sometimes it’s messy, sometimes it’s still, but it shakes the static off. also candles. don’t ask me why, but lighting a candle and just sitting with it helps me find my way back. reminds me that there’s a flame in me too, even when i forget. and yeah, sometimes it’s rage. like sacred rage. not destruction, but fire that clears space. when i let myself feel it instead of swallowing it, it actually settles me. like my body goes… finally………..

I reclaim my power by singing or yelling its funny if you ever saw me passing in a car on the street you might think Im crazy. I sing super loud to my favorite songs this guy has no shame in belting out show tunes but I love a wide variety of music anything with passion about claiming power. Survivor by Xstina is on regular repeat.
