Most systems get built on a two choice mindset. True or false. On or off. This or that. Ternary starts from a different foundation: three states.
Ternary is base 3. Each digit can hold one of three values. This single shift changes how we count, how we model change, and how we design systems.

Netism uses a balanced ternary system:
      Digits: −1, 0, +1
Many people write these as: −, 0, +
Use: symmetry, direction, polarity, cancellation, stable control

Balanced ternary matters because it carries a centered state. It holds a true neutral.
Binary forces every signal into a yes or a no. Balanced ternary allows expansion, rest, and contraction.
That maps cleanly onto breathing rhythms, wave motion, and any cycle that moves through a midpoint.

Balanced ternary also allows you to total a run and immediately see the overall trend. To do this in a binary system, you would have to calculate an average.

Ternary fits systems where reality moves through a center:
Charge and field polarity with a neutral equilibrium
Human decision cycles: push, pause, pull back
      Emotional processing: activate, settle, integrate
      Creation cycles: seed, hold, express
Balanced ternary gives mathematical language for centered transformation.

Have you considered ternary systems before?

This is really neat. If computers ran off ternary instead theyd be way faster.
