What Remote Viewing Actually Is (and Isn’t) in the forum Meditation Practices & Techniques 3 months, 2 weeks agoRemote viewing is a disciplined anomalous cognition. In Netist terms, it is trained attention reaching through the Net to gather verifiable information about a designated target. The viewer tunes coherence first, then follows a precise cue toward sensory, spatial, and conceptual impressions that can later be checked.
Popular myths speak of…[Read more]

536 AD: The Year the Sun Dimmed in the forum Ancient Cataclysms & Human Cycles 3 months, 2 weeks agoIn the middle of the sixth century, witnesses across the Mediterranean and Near East described a strange year when daylight felt like twilight and the sun “gave forth its light without brightness.” Geology supports this claim. Ice cores show huge injections of volcanic sulfate into the stratosphere beginning in 536 and again around 540, while tre…[Read more]

Unity Brings Coherence, Separation Distorts in the forum Core Principles of Netism 3 months, 2 weeks agoIts sad when you see division within the yoga community. People who are about love and light can come with just as much drama as everyone else! I stay out of discussions where people are badmouthing other people or groups. Not going to feed the negativity!

Cisterns: The Easiest Off-Grid Water You Can Add in the forum Homesteading & Self-Sufficiency 3 months, 2 weeks agoCisterns give a home year-round water with no well and no power. They work by partnering with the sky. Rain meets roof, roof guides water to a storage tank, and gravity delivers it when you open a tap. With simple design choices, the system runs quietly through every season while gardens, laundry, and even drinking needs stay supplied.

Unity Brings Coherence, Separation Distorts in the forum Core Principles of Netism 3 months, 2 weeks agoThat which separates distorts. That which unifies brings coherence.
Any spiritual path that cultivates an “us against them” mindset has drifted from its most essential truth: all are one. Unity stands as the most fundamental value of spirit. Vision that sees no separation rests closest to the Source. Separation breeds distortion and feeds fea…[Read more]

Enough Is Enough: Diminishing Returns And Sufficiency in the forum Netist Philosophy 3 months, 2 weeks agoIve learned over the last few years about how less can be more… it’s a hard economy out there, and I’m a lot more sane with money in the bank than stuff cluttering my house. It’s a hard mindset to adapt because we’re so trained to want things all the time, but what really matters in life is time… how do we spend it? Spending all my time…[Read more]

Favor and disgrace as twin snares for the heart in the forum Netist Philosophy 3 months, 2 weeks agoThe ego is the victor’s worst enemy, let it carry on long enough, and it’ll kill him for you. I agree with everything said here. It’s an important subject, and one that’s easily forgotten when pertaining to the self. No one likes a narcissist, but a narcissist might have a hard time understanding that.

Enough Is Enough: Diminishing Returns And Sufficiency in the forum Netist Philosophy 3 months, 2 weeks agoAs a collector, its hard to know when enough is enough. It really never is. I collect various little monitios (small statues and hand made items). Once I see one I like, I usually dont buy it at first. But if i keep coming back to it or can’t get it off my head, ill go buy it. I need more shelves just to display the most recent ones I got at a…[Read more]

Enough Is Enough: Diminishing Returns And Sufficiency in the forum Netist Philosophy 3 months, 2 weeks agoModern markets are engines that convert attention into appetite. The message arrives a thousand ways each day. You could be happier with one more feature, one more upgrade, one more step up the ladder. Desire becomes a moving target, always just beyond reach. The truth is simpler. Early gains matter. Later gains often add weight. A tool that once…[Read more]

Favor and disgrace as twin snares for the heart in the forum Netist Philosophy 3 months, 2 weeks agoThe Tao Te Ching warns of becoming concerned with other people’s opinions, stating that getting favor often leads to complications of ego, obsession with popularity, followed by the need to perform or adjust the image to maintain favor. It is a trap that keeps one off the spiritual path, obsessed with material pursuits and endeavors that give no…[Read more]

Growing a Green Wall: Thorn Hedgerows for Security in the forum Earth & Its Caretakers 3 months, 2 weeks agoWhat if a property line grew itself? No quarry, no timber crews, only a planted seed that thickens every season. A fence invites a challenge; it says there is treasure inside. A ten-foot sprawl of thorns says, “why bother,” and animals read the same message. Plant a living perimeter and you gain cover, habitat, fruit, medicine, windbreak, and a…[Read more]
