What was the function of Egyptian “false doors”? in the forum Ancient Technology and Temple Design 1 month, 3 weeks agoNearly every ancient culture has a scrying method. I think it is funny that people think this is something bad… meanwhile they are locked into a device with a black screen all day… they even get into arguments with it XD

Machines in Myths: How legends encode real engineering motifs in the forum Mythology, Archetypes & Folklore 1 month, 3 weeks agoWhat if we are misinterpreting ancient myth, taking them too literally? If we can accept that human civilization started much earlier, with the emergence of Ancient Egypt, as the emergence of a new cycle, then the door becomes open to look at ancient stories with fresh perspectives. Perhaps ancient people, long before the rise of dynastic Egypt,…[Read more]

Striving For Success While Detaching From Results in the forum Netist Philosophy 1 month, 3 weeks agoWhen I was young we didnt have subscribers but we had other measures of success it was different though. This instant gratification stuff with notifications seems great but it puts focus in the wrong places who cares if 10,000 people like a post I’d rather make a real difference to one person.

Stephan A. Schwartz’s 2060 in the forum Ancient Cataclysms & Human Cycles 1 month, 3 weeks agoStephan A. Schwartz is a researcher-author known for long-horizon “consensus remote viewing” projects and trend analysis. Beginning in 1978, he asked thousands of participants to “visit” a specific future date and describe everyday life, then extracted only the overlapping details across many independent accounts. For 2060 he also ran a paralle…[Read more]

The Net in Action in the forum Core Principles of Netism 1 month, 3 weeks agoSo I’ve always called it the universe but yea, its like things will fall into my life and its not some outside force… its and its cuz of one thing I did or another, karma comin to collect or pay out. Striving For Success While Detaching From Results in the forum Netist Philosophy 1 month, 3 weeks agoWow.. I feel like I logged on today to see this exact message. Lately been super caught up in making those marks, both in work and in my daily stuff. After awhile I’m like, am I really enjoying this? Striving For Success While Detaching From Results in the forum Netist Philosophy 1 month, 3 weeks agoAt first glance, it seems like striving for success and maintaining indifference regarding results are two conflicting principles. Doesn’t the principle of success hinge on results? The difference lies in how we define success: is it measured by other people’s approval (notoriety, awards, “likes and follows”), or is it measured as fulfillment and…[Read more]

Mind Wandering: Where Do We Go? And What Does It Mean? in the forum Core Principles of Netism 1 month, 3 weeks agoPhew so its not just me…. lol, jokes aside, you brought something up that I was talking to someone about a few days ago. When we’re always focused on the negative, it shows up in your health, especially as you age. All the years of resentment you carry really take a toll after awhile. Let it go!

Mind Wandering: Where Do We Go? And What Does It Mean? in the forum Core Principles of Netism 1 month, 3 weeks agoWe’ve all experienced it: we read an entire page of text to look up and realize we hadn’t absorbed any of it at all, our mind was elsewhere. Similarly, we’ve all pulled into our destination with no clear memory of driving the last 10 blocks. Somehow, we kept going while our conscious awareness was absorbed in something else.
How is this…[Read more]

Trauma Isn’t Stored in the Body, It’s Reflected Through It in the forum Energy Centers & Inner Currents 1 month, 3 weeks agoI have seen this so many times and experienced it myself. There is no denying that mind body spirit connection! Its a spiritual symptom too. I know when I struggled to cope with things I couldnt get involved in spiritual practices, even though I knew theyd be good for me because I just felt dull inside. I also hurt all the time (wonder why!) so I…[Read more]

Greek Fire, Explained in the forum Ancient Technology and Temple Design 1 month, 3 weeks ago“Greek fire” (more accurately, the Byzantines’ liquid fire) was a short-range naval flamethrower used from the 7th–14th centuries CE. Unlike pitch pots or flaming arrows, this was a projected incendiary: a pressure-pumped stream of burning liquid blasted from bronze nozzles on ships. Contemporary accounts emphasized terror at sea: flames that cl…[Read more]

Ancient Building Ethics vs. Modern Ones in the forum Earth & Its Caretakers 1 month, 3 weeks agoMany ancient monuments still stand today, and this begs the question: would ours do the same?
The modern world is known for its speed and ability to mass-produce, but does it produce effectively? Houses routinely fill with mold, foundation cracks, and roofs cave in; the modern homeowner is required to pay for insurance on a mortgaged home,…[Read more]
